Saturday round-up: A’s open with an 8-0 win

A mixed Saturday across the club. The A’s made a flying start to their Bristol & Suburban Division Four campaign, thrashing Parson Street Old Boys Reserves 8-0 at BAWA to sit top of the table. The Reserves were edged 1-3 at home by Cosmos UK Saturday First in the Premier Division, with Reece Evans on the mark. The First Team’s cup run ended with a 7-0 defeat away at University of Bristol. #FATS #UTF

Reserves and A’s close out pre-season on Saturday

The final pre-season fixtures come tomorrow, Saturday 29 August. The Reserves head down to Bath to face Odd Down AFC Development (2pm, BA2 2PR), while the A’s take on Bristol Boys FC (2pm, Patchway High School, BS32 4AJ). Both sides look to round off a strong pre-season and carry that form into the opening league game next week. Come down and back the lads. #FATS #UTF

Reserves' friendly vs Boco Res cancelled

Saturday’s pre-season friendly away at Boco Res was cancelled in the end. The Reserves are back in action next Saturday 29 August, away at Odd Down Development.

Reserves win 2-0 away at Lawrence Weston

The Reserves picked up a solid pre-season win on Saturday, beating Lawrence Weston 2-0 at Kingsweston Lane. Goals from Aaron Mills and Billy Reed. Next up for the Reserves is Boco Res away on Saturday 22 August.

Reserves' friendly vs Southmead cancelled

Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Southmead was cancelled. The Reserves are back in action this Saturday 15 August, away at Lawrence Weston.

A heartfelt thank you from Southmead FC — £1,170 raised for Ben and his family

Following our pre-season friendly against Southmead FC, Filton organised a collection for Ben and his family — raising an incredible £1,170 through cash and card donations on the day. Every penny was handed to Southmead FC in cash, safely banked, and added to Ben’s GoFundMe page. Southmead have sent us a heartfelt thank you in return, quoting a line that says it all: “Football has no colours.” Thank you to every player, volunteer and supporter who gave so generously — a real credit to this club. #FATS #UTF

Reserves open pre-season with a 2-2 draw at Avonmouth

A really good first run out for the Reserves last night, and a chance to blow off the cobwebs. A very competitive game against a tough side — thanks for the fixture and for hosting us, Avonmouth Football Club. Goals for Filton from Harry Garrett and a debut goal for Reece Evans.

Thank you to local residents — ground improvements meeting

Thank you to everyone who came along to this week’s meeting with Filton Town Council about improving our ground. Since moving back to Elm Park in 2024, the Club and Council have worked in partnership on the pitch-wide barrier — and with the first team pushing up the leagues, any future promotion would mean facilities need to meet FA standards. Your feedback and ideas on the outline plans were greatly appreciated, and we’re proud to be working with the Council to support our club, our ground and our community.
